According to CNN, yet again...Congress plans to cut food stamps.  Again we decry, no one wants more food stamps, instead people need better access to programs that can help them become self sufficient... but so far, these programs are few and far between, and now they're talking food off of the tables of hungry children.  When will this end?

How to Get Expedited Food Stamps

Expedited food stamps (SNAP benefits) is the name of a process where low income families are given food stamps within 7 days from the date of their application. Eligibility rules include the following: Your household’s income is less than $150 per month and your household’s assets are less than $100 (assets include cash that you have on hand and the money in your bank account). Your rent and utilities are more than your monthly income before deductions OR You are a migrant seasonal farm worker and your household’s cash and money in the bank is less than $100. If none of these situations apply, you may receive Food Stamps within 30 days of the date you apply for government aid.
