Florida Food Stamp Program Gets an $8 Million Bonus

The Federal Government feels that Florida rungs its food stamp program so well, that they have decided to award the Florida Department of Children and Families (the organization that runs Florida's SNAP Benefits Program) an $8 Million bonus.

According to the Department of Children and Families, the state's error rate is 0.77, and it is the lowest in the entire country. The error rate has to do with the annual review of eligibility of the states 3.6 Million food stamp recipients.

There was nothing said about what the money would be used for, or where it would be spent, but you can probably guess that Florida Food Stamp recipients probably won't be noticing any differences.
